Tonight Milano Jazzin' Festival, the one-month music event based at the Arena Civica, gives space to four Israeli bands, which through different styles and sonorities are trying to narrate the dreams, tensions and daily happenings of the youth living in the Middle East. The multiple concert was set up by the association Israele60 in order to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the State of Israel's birth.
The free event, titled 'Pass Over', a pun on the Jewish Easter, starts at 9 pm. HaBiluim, Boogie Balagan, Shi360 and Kruzenshtern & Parohod are going to alternate on stage a wide repertoire of rock, hip hop, punk and experimental music. "Through the universal language of music," underlined the municipal councillor for Sports and Leisure, Giovanni Terzi, during the concert's presentation, "the City Council takes part in the celebrations of the State of Israel. A free event to help young people to understand an other culture and educate them to the knowledge of a population that is so important for the world's history."
In the next four weeks, the Arena is going to host several music stars, who surely meet all the audience's tastes. On July 14th Lenny Kravitz is ready to charm the public with his musical hotchpotch, two days later Pat Metheny is once again expressing his jazz revolution. Among the other names those of R.E.M. (July 26th) and Paul Simon (July 28th) stand out.
