Thirty students which are attending a masters at Milano's Politecnico, Università Bocconi and Università Cattolica will be the protagonists of a unique master plan promoted by Regione Lombardia and managed by the Iref Institute (Istituto regionale Lombardo di formazione della Pubblica amministrazione). The project will allow the lucky pupils (who were selected among 80 candidates) to know Lombardia better through a didactic path which will combine lessons and tour guides to discover the region's monuments and artistic patrimony.
The course, 'Introduzione alla realtà lombarda' (Introduction to Lombardia reality), will take place every Saturday until October. Italian literature, economics, history, regional art and culture: these are some of the subjects the students will deal with in the next six months. Besides, they will watch movies such as: 'L'albero degli zoccoli' by Ermanno Omi and 'La Febbre' by Alessandro D'Alatri. Finally, during the summer they will meet some representatives of Lombardia's entrepreneurship.
Participants come from all over the world: France, Greece, Czech Republic, Brazil, Mexico, China, India, Ghana, Nigeria and New Zealand, just to name a few. Foreign students who spend a long period of time in Lombardia often know hardly anything on the region's life and history and are not able to appreciate it. The project aims to help them to do it. As the initiative's success has been great, organizers are already planning for the next edition.
