GARIBALDI STATION HOSTS THE LITERARY EVENT 'POETRY IN TRANSIT'

Everyone will have the chance to read their compositions

Tomorrow, together with the World Poetry Day, Porta Garibaldi Station hosts the first appointment of 'Poesie in transito' (Poetry in transit): an itinerant initiative promoted by the organization of the International Poetry Festival of Genova and Centostazioni, a company involved in the rennovation of 103 Italian stations.

This is the preview of the Festival's 15th edition, which, with over 700 participants, represents a benchmark for Italian and international poetry. Stations, crossroads of experiences and meetings, have been chosen as the event's stage, which after Milano is going to stop in Napoli, Trento, Vicenza, Trieste and Alessandria, ending in Genova by June 12th, when the literary event begins.

Tomorrow from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Porta Garibaldi Station receives poetry and music performances with readings and interpretations of local and guest authors, which will show to all the presents the masterpieces of writers who took part in the Festival. Just to name a few, Nobel prizes Czeslaw Milosz and Derek Walcott. The event's strength is the public's involvement: in the area 'Microfono aperto' (Open microphone), everyone will have the chance to read their compositions.
