INNOVATION FORUM: IS ITALY READY TO INNOVATE?

Four days in Milano to analyse technologies opportunities

For four days Milano becomes the capital of innovation. Thanks to Innovation Forum 2008, a great event organised by the Idc society about future and new technologies with conferences, meetings and round tables which take place until the 15th of March in Milano. The main theme of this year's Forum is very clear: "What does Italy need to make innovations?". In Palazzo Mezzanotte, experts, journalists and professors will debate the issue, trying to give the audience opportunities to understand the challenges of innovation.

Many international gurus will participate in the forum: for example Jacques Attali, president of a French commission of economic growth, Jeremy Rifkin, president of the Foundation on Economic Trends, and Dpn Tapscott, strategist and author of "Wikinomics". The event will take place not only in Palazzo Mezzanotte, but will involve many other Milanese venues. The Forum will follow four main themes:(METTI TU 4 TEMI PRINICIPALI E LEVA IL RESTO) share the knowledge, innovation culture, finance the knowledge, new technologies for innovation and innovation and sustainable development.

"Innovation is the only way to make Italy grow", said Roberto Masiero, president of Idc society. "But in Italy, right now, the innovation system is blocked. And while we have quality in our country, it is very difficult to deal with the burocracy". "The Innovation technology sector is very important for all aspects of our life - said Masier - because of its effects on sustainable mobility, saving energy ,electronic sanitary systems and every service to citizens. We have to improve our innovation politics because they can be decisive for our country".
