100 YEARS OF INTER F.C.: THE CITY IS READY TO CELEBRATE

Moratti: "The best present would be to beat Liverpool"

Milano is ready to celebrate Inter centenary. The Nerazzurri turn 100 on Sunday and the San Siro stadium will be sold out on Saturday evening for the Game Day 27 meeting with Reggina. President of the team, Massimo Moratti, has promised that Inter will celebrate their centenary in fine style.

The club owner wants it to be a night to remember and the perfect curtain-raiser to the Champions League tie with Liverpool next Tuesday. "The best present we could give - said Moratti - would be to beat Liverpool". "I have great confidence in the players that coach Roberto Mancini will choose, because they have the quality to play a game showing the heroic character that we will need to progress".

The celebrations will start tomorrow morning with an important event dedicated to the children: an International championship between junior football players of Inter and Ajax, Manchester United, Benfica e Real Madrid. Then, in San Siro, will take place the match between Inter and Reggina and the stadium will host all the football players that wore Inter's shirt in the past.

Moratti said: "We will certainly do something in the stadium, before, during and after the match against Reggina Something about Inter's history, but it's still a surprise". Saturday night in piazza Duomo all the Inter's supporters will partecipate at the great party with an enourmous cake. On Sunday a great Galà at Palazzo Reale will close the celebrations. "Our centenary celebrations will help everyone go into this challenge with 100 years of passion", said Moratti. "I believe that our fans will be right behind us".
