After the Eco Bus - University's internal low emission gas shuttle - and the great number of bicycles at disposal of students and staff, among the sustainable mobility campaign initiatives, the Bicocca University of Milano has proposed a further earth friendly policy: car-sharing.

The service has been activated thanks to a partnership with "Guidami" which manages the innovative transport system of Milanese territory. Countless are the advantages of the new action plan implemented by the University, starting from the fact that all vehicles respect the Euro 4 guidelines regarding gas emission standards.

As Mobility managers of the University explain: "The Car Sharing service offers an alternative to the use of private cars and offers students and staff the possibility of accessing a sustainable mobility service contributing thus to Campus and area's air quality. If the initial phase is successful, we will then significantly increase number of cars at disposal of the University".

Cars can also be booked for private use at particular advantageous rates.
