The exhibitors represent the finest in Italian and European textile production, totaling 659: 511 Italian and 148 European (coming from France, Spain, England, Portugal, Germany). The exposition area covers 27,000 sq. meters.
The event has been created through the vast experience and tradition of five Italian exhibitions: Ideabiella, Ideacomo, Moda In, Prato Expo, and Shirt Avenue. This project is held twice a year (February-September), presenting the finest quality products from both Italian and European textile manufacturers. "This is the most important piece of data for the entire textile industry", said Milano Unica's president Paolo Zegna. "We cannot ignore the signals coming from the United States and Japan, mainly due to the weak currency situation. We must continue to reinforce and expand our range of products while improving quality, customer service, initiatives, layout and communications, as we have done for past editions."
