A new cafeteria is going to open at the Triennale museum in Milano: a collaboration between Autogrill and chef Carlo Cracco gave birth to the "Cracco Coffee Design", that will open next April, during the international furniture fair "Salone del Mobile". Autogrill and Cracco's proposal won the Triennale contest and architect Michele De Lucchi has been chosen to design the new spaces.
So, in the heart of Milano's design, food is becoming also a cultural event. Davide Rampello, president of the Triennale, considers the Cracco Coffee Design an actual part of the cultural offer, like the exhibitions which take place in the museum. The new restaurant&bar includes long tables where people can taste Cracco's dishes and view design objects taken from the temporary exhibit. No secrets, moreover, in the kitchen that will be "open" and Cracco's work will be shown to the visitors, becoming itself an event. "Next step - the chef said - will be the first floor restaurant".
