Wine and fashion: this will be one of the biggest surprises at the next Milano Fashion Week. During Milano Moda Donna, the fashion event dedicated to the Fall/Winter 2008- 2009 collections, fifty Sicilian wine producers will expose their products. At a 400 square meter stand, from the 16th to 23rd of February, it will be possible to taste a glass of good wine, resting between fashion shows. The event is being held by the Sicilian Agriculture local authority, in co-operation with Camera della Moda. "Sicily represents a strong reality in wine productions - said Giovanni La Via, sicilian chief of the Agriculture authority - and our style of making is recognised all over the world. Just like our fashion: this is why we wanted to organize this event in Milan, capital of fashion".

Last September the fashion week obtained a great success, demonstrated by more then 15.000 fashion people who reached Milan to attend the presentation of 233 collections: 96 fashion shows for 90 brands, 95 presentations and 53 presentations by appointment. "This is the proof that Milan, also for its ability to focus on young talents, is and will remain the world wide capital of the high prêt - à - porter", said Mario Boselli, president of Camera della Moda.
