"Speciali documentari italiani" is the name of the new initiative promoted by the "Fondazione cineteca italiana" (Italian Film Library Foundation) thanks to a partnership with Rai Cinema. Five documentaries altogether, by five different film directors will be presented in Milano at the Museo del Cinema, starting from tomorrow. The event will continue until March the 7th.
The following five films "Madri" by Barbara Cupisti, "In fabbrica" by Francesca Comencini, "Il nostro Rwanda" by Cristina Comencini, "Il viaggio di Gesù" by Sergio Basso and "L'udienza è aperta" by Vincenzo Mara - will be stored in the archives of the Film Library and will be screened by cinema clubs or cultural associations.
Each film tackles different and stringent issues. Francesca Comencini's "In Fabbrica" confronts the life of today's and yesterday's Italian working class, whereas "Madri" is an account of Israeli and Palestinian mothers. Cristina Comencini's film tells the story of a group of Roman students who travel to Rwanda. "L'udienza è aperta" is a detailed account of a typical working day in a law court in Naples. "Il viaggio di Gesù" is a journey through the most significant places visited by Jesus Christ.
