The thirteenth edition of Milano's International Modern and Contemporary Art Fair (MiArt)- Italian's most comprehensive exhibit-fair - will take place in the Portello pavilions of Fieramilanocity, from April the 4th to the 7th.
As Town Culture Councilor Vittorio Sgarbi explained: "During those days, the city will be animated by a series of photography and painting exhibitions of international prestige".
Vernissages, round tables, conferences and exhibitions will make up the four day 2008 edition of MiArt. "From Giacomo Balla, which anticipates the anniversary of the birth of Futurism, next year, to Canova and Bacon exhibits, and photography from Jeol Peter Witkin, Jan Saudek and Richard Avedon. Vittorio Sgarbi also added that during the MiArt, the city of Milan may strengthen its cultural offer by extending visiting hours".
As a world wide renowned meeting point for the art world even this year's edition will see the participation of internationally respected gallery operators, critics and collectors, as well as the directors of prestigious museums.
