Unusual outskirt locations will be the venue of a series of free live jazz concerts that the city of Milan will host until April 15th.
"To increase the use of little known and often neglected areas of the City is among the objectives set by the municipality administration: this particular event will put in the limelight spaces in the outskirts of Milan and will give it's citizens the opportunity to listen to internationally known musicians from the nearest square to their home" explained Ombretta Colli, City councillor for Citizen areas, during the presentation press conference.
Artists of the calibre of Franco Cerri, Enrico Intra, Enrico Rava, Dado Moroni and Tullio De Piscopo will partecipate in the festival.
The event is also intended to be a journey through the roots and the history of jazz. Music critic Maurizio Franco will illustrate throughout ten lessons the most relevant styles that have characterized the 20th century music. The event in directed in particular to students and universities.
