FOSTER ON RENOVATION WORKS S.GIULIA: "A LIFE TIME EXPERIENCE "

New project on luxury apartments designed by renowned architect

Risanamento S.p.A., a Zunino Group property company listed on the Italian stock exchange, has announced today the green light to the new renovation works which will be carried out on the luxury houses projected by Norman Foster in the Santa Giulia borough of Milan. "Its a once in a lifetime experience" said the famous architect who among other important international projects designed the Hong Kong airport. "The park will represent the real heart of the project. Such an ambitious plan has never been launched before, not even in London" said Foster.

Altogether 600 luxury apartments - 50 square meters the smallest, 250 square meters the largest - will be renovated: each building will have it's own porter's lodge, two lifts and garages on two different levels. Household appliances, heating and air conditioning, lighting and alarm systems will all be controlled by long distance devises.

Foster revealed his intention: to design a "city within a city" only a few minutes away from the center of Milan: Santa Giulia in fact is only ten minutes by tube from the Duomo; 15 minutes from the Central Station. The railway allows to reach within a ten minute journey central areas such as Porta Venezia and Porta Garibaldi.

For the realization of the project Risanamento has been granted a 726 million funding by Intesa Sanpaolo and Hypo Real Estate Bank International. The works should finish by 2012.
